- Pour tous !
Each one of the three hives is home to a colony that numbers 20,000 residents in winter, and up to 80,000 in summer.
Every day, these yellow and black striped insects gather pollen from 700 flowers, within a 1 to 5km radius of their hive. Our bees can thus make the most of the varied flora to be found on your park’s 18 hectares, that grow without spraying a drop of pesticide, and venture up to the Eiffel Tower or else within the La Défense district. Just like the wind, flies, butterflies or beetles, wild and domestic bees play an active role in the reproduction of flowering plants.
At the Jardin, we offer these worker bees an exceptional refuge thanks to a new model of hive, which preserves the ecosystem of these sentinels of the environment and makes non-intrusive observation possible. We, by having honey-producing, pollinating hives, are participating in the preservation of biodiversity.
